Parbhani- Sculptures communicate with us, and it is essential to understand the emotions and reasons behind their creation. The female sculptures on the exterior of temples are not “Surasundaris” but “Nayikas” (heroines), reflecting the advanced life of women of that era, opined Dr. Arvind Sontakke, a scholar of sculpture art. He expressed these thoughts during the launch of the book “Surasundari, Devangana, or Nayika…” by Shri Aditya Phadke and Dr. Arvind Sontakke. Present on the dais were Principal of the college Dr. Sudhir Chavan, Coordinator Dr. Shobhan Kelkar, Council President Dr. Shrikant Ganveer, and Secretary Dr. Shanta Geete.
