Parbhani Representative– Chief Minister – Former Ladki Bahin Yojana MLA Rajesh viitekar has informed the District Collector that the amount received under the former Ladki Bahin Yojana is being illegally deducted from the banks in the name of recovery of outstanding loans. A complaint is lodged through a written statement
In Parbhani District Chief Minister – My Beloved Sister Scheme is being successfully implemented on a large scale, two lakh 20 thousand 491 sisters in the district are getting the benefit of this scheme, an amount of three thousand rupees per sister for the month of July and August has been deposited in the accounts of the sisters and three lakh more till Diwali. Sisters are going to get the benefit of this scheme, approximately six lakh sisters are going to get the benefit of this scheme in the form of Rs. Six thousand.Even though the government has implemented a policy to help the sisters to honor them, many banks in Parbhani district instead of disbursing their money from the account to the sisters are collecting the overdue loans due to minimum balance, self-help group arrears, and other loans and are obstructing the sisters. In case of obstruction, the sisters are expressing their displeasure as they do not know whom to appeal to. Many newspapers in the district have raised their voices about this issue, and many sisters are complaining to me. Said MLA Rajesh vitekar.Secretary of Women and Child Development Department Dr. Anup Kumar Yadav to Banks M.B.V. -/Chapter 96/Part-2/Case-2 by letter dated 19th August 2024 not to recover the money from Ladaki Bahina Yojana against any loan, and also not to return the money to the sisters from the bank as the loan is overdue, Or the account has been frozen or closed It has been suggested that arrangements should be made so that the amount falls into the hands of the sisters without saying any reason that there is. But the orders of Women and Child Development Department are not applicable to banks, we are bound to follow the instructions given by RBI for recovery of overdue loans. Some banks have taken such a stance. Therefore, despite the money coming to the bank, the sisters have to go back empty-handed, this matter is serious, the district manager of the leading bank as well as the district level chief officer of the banks should hold an immediate meeting and give instructions to them and vitekar has also requested the Collector that a temporary officer of a leading bank should be appointed in the collector’s office to appeal to such sisters and immediate measures should be taken to ensure that the sisters will not face any problem while withdrawing money.
