Sonali Lohar, a famous vice therapist from Thane, has appealed that professors and teachers should be aware of their voice and take care of it as they are suffering from throat cancer.
A voice workshop was held in Shri Shivaji College on Thursday in association with Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Department and Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center. Balasaheb Jadhav was the President of program.The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Yashwant Shitole, President of Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center. Vice Principal Dr. Srinivasa Keshetty, Vice Principal Dr. Rohidas Nitonde, Coordinator. Digambar Rode was the main presence on this occasion.Lohar while giving guidance said, ‘Professors and teachers impart education through voice; But because of neglecting the health of one’s voice, one in every 100 people in the country is getting throat cancer. There are more teachers in it. To prevent this cancer, voice exercises and measures should be taken. Breathing, brain, heart, lungs, nose, throat, and various muscles in the body are all related to voice, Lohar said, though voice reflects quality, knowledge, we use voice in a scientific manner as well. If not done correctly and as needed, if done incorrectly it increases the chances of getting cancerHow to make a voice, how to speak, what actions take place in the larynx, Lohar told through video tapes. Voicing exercises are demonstrated.
Under the state-level college initiative ‘Career Katta’, we are conducting voice workshops in all the universities and colleges of Maharashtra by Maharashtra Information Technology Support Center with the motto ‘Voice is Gurujan’s Veda for the future of the country’. President of the Center Yashwant Shitole asserted that this workshop is essential for the professorsPrincipal Dr. appealed to all the college professors of Parbhani district to take advantage of this workshop. The workshop was attended by the professors of Shree Shivaji College, Shree Shivaji Law College, Shree Shivaji Engineering College and various colleges of Parbhani district as well as the city. Facilitation of the workshop and thanks by Dr. Prahlad Bhope did.
