An accused who had escaped from custody in a case registered at Selu Police Station has been apprehended. The accused was arrested on Saturday, December 20, 2025, during a special operation conducted by the Local Crime Branch team.
In Crime Register No. 622/25 under Section 262 of the Indian Penal Code, accused Dnyaneshwar Shankar Pawar had escaped from police custody. The accused, a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Selu, was traced and arrested near Manmad Railway Station in Nashik district.
During interrogation, based on the information provided by the accused, the police successfully solved another theft case registered at Selu Police Station under Crime Register No. 637/2025. The accused has been handed over to Selu Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police, Parbhani, Shri Ravindrasinh Santosh Sinh Pardeshi, and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police, Shri Suraj Gunjal. The team led by Police Inspector Vivekanand Patil included Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Sugreev Kendre, Madhukar Chatte, Nilesh Bhujbal, Vilas Satpute, Ganesh Kautkar, Kishor Chavan, Uttam Hanwate, Madhukar Dhawale, and Umesh Chavan.
According to the police department, this successful operation will help in tightening control over absconding criminals and strengthening law and order in the district.
