The local crime branch team seized gutkha worth 8 lakh 32 thousand 640 rupees along with goods in a raid on a Bolero vehicle without number plate in Pedgaon on Saturday, September 14 at 7:30 pm. One accused has been taken into custody. The accused had parked this Bolero vehicle in front of his house. Then this action was taken. The accused had brought gutkha banned by the Maharashtra government for sale in this Bolero vehicle. In which Rajnivas fragrant pan masala worth 2 lakh 66 thousand rupees, Jafarabadi zarda worth 66 thousand 528 rupees and Mahindra company’s Bolero were seized. Goods worth a total of 8 lakh 32 thousand 640 were seized. In the above action, the police have detained Renukadas Akolkar, age 28 years, resident of Pedgaon. The accused has informed that these goods belong to his partner Jagannath Tekale. Sandeep Sheikh had bought this goods from Raorajur district Jalna and was to be given to Vikas Deshmukh in Jhari, Rama Gaikwad in Pedgaon, Sameer Sheikh, resident of Azam Chowk, Parbhani. Therefore, a case has been registered against all the above accused in Parbhani Rural Police Station. The above action has been taken under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Ravindra Singh Pardeshi, Additional Superintendent of Police Yashwant Kale, Sub Inspector Ashok Ghorband, Sub Inspector Raju Mutyepod, Ravi Jadhav, Sheikh Rufiadeen, Satpute, Nilpatrewar, Gaikwad of Local Crime Branch. Sub Inspector Chandan Singh is conducting further investigation.
